Fishing At Our Lake House
About five years ago my husband and I purchased a lake home property which had been a dream of ours for many years. It has been everything we hoped for all those years and we would not swap out little bit of paradise for anything. To say it has completely changed our lives is no understatement. Especially when it comes to our leisure time. Instead of all the things we used to do like going to the movies, theater or going out for meals we now spend most of our leisure time boating, fishing or other general outdoor activities including cook outs with friends and family.
Before we moved to the lake my husband would go fishing on a regular basis and it was very rare that I would join him but since moving I have developed a great love of fishing and we have now become quite competitive on our relative catches. He always had a decent collection of fishing equipment and tackle but since we have moved to the lake his collection has grown dramatically. He likes to make sure whoever comes to the house that he has enough fishing gear to outfit them no matter how much equipment they may have themselves. He often jokes with the local fishing gear store that if he ever runs out of stuff to give him a call because he probably has a bigger selection than the store.
We now realize that we will probably end our days here as we are so happy. I even told my husband that If I pass on before him that I want my ashes scattered over the lake, I love it so much. Our quality of life is better than it has ever been and it is great to watch out friends and family enjoy it too.
