Casting Spoons

Could common sense be found
standing in the down pour of the falling rain,
would it be found
in burial grounds of ancient dead,
be they exalted or condemned
who knew of unused common sense,
cast off as if it's use, was for a lowly few.
Yet, of no use to those who lead and rule
with speech betrayal, and chilling hand of Midas touch,
or those fed upon a silver spoon,
who act as if, their knowledge knows no ignorance.
could common sense
be no more then a a gift bestowed
upon the lowly common people of the universe,
who choose to wear
the crowning sparkling jewels of common sense
without despair, in spite of truth,
they too are caught in the down pour of the falling rain.
